Milton

Milton is a seasonal home to many vacationers that travel to their summer residences on the Three Ponds and surrounding areas every year. Originally organized as a part of Rochester, Milton Mills and Three Ponds incorporated as Milton in 1802. Like many interior New England towns, Milton’s 19th and early 20th century history is rooted in industry, including leatherboard, shoe, and textile manufacturers. Milton is also home to the New Hampshire Farm Museum that includes both the historic Jones Farm and Plummer homestead which date back to the 1770s.
