Public Participation Plan

Public participation is essential for informing the transportation planning activities of the SRPC. The Public Participation Plan (PPP) describes the various outreach activities that SRPC engages in to ensure that all members of the public—including populations that have been under-served by the transportation system and/or have lacked access to the decision-making process—are given the opportunity to participate in the planning process that shapes the Strafford region.

The Plan guides SRPC’s efforts to offer early, continuous, and meaningful opportunities for the public to help identify social, economic, and environmental impacts of proposed transportation policies, projects, and initiatives. The Public Participation Plan policies have been adopted by the SRPC’s Policy Committee.
