Annual Listing of Obligated Projects

Overview

One of SRPC’s duties is to monitor and report on federal funds dedicated to transportation projects in the Strafford region. Transportation projects and programs span many years (sometimes decades) and have funding “programmed” for each year, but funds are only ready to be spent (“obligated”) in the current year. The Annual Listing of Obligated Projects is required by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) to track the federal funding that was spent in support of transportation improvement projects and public transportation providers in each federal fiscal year (October to September).
