SRPC is a leader in economic development in our region, providing a full suite of planning services to help our communities achieve their vision for the future of their economies.

SRPC was formally designated as an Economic Development District (EDD) in 2015 and maintains a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) to provide a high-level overview of the region’s economic performance and priorities. Regular updates to the CEDS, including the Priority Project List, provide up-to-date economic data for the region and help SRPC and partner organizations to secure outside funding for key projects.

Grant funding through US EDA and other sources allows SRPC to provide direct technical support to municipalities and non-profit partners in the region for economic development projects. Contact economic development program staff to learn more about our suite of economic development services.
