CommuteSmart Seacoast

SRPC staff pose with the SRPC flag and a sign saying I liked carpooling to work today

Overview

SRPC has been involved in CommuteSMART Seacoast since its inception in 2013.  CommuteSMART Seacoast is a Transportation Management Association (TMA) that works with employers to promote smart commuting options – carpooling, vanpooling, transit, bicycling, walking and telecommuting – that help support a livable and vibrant Greater Seacoast community. It originated with funding from the Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement (CMAQ) program and the NH Bureau of Turnpikes as mitigation for the Dover-Newington Little Bay Bridges project.

SRPC staff currently co-manages the TMA with staff from Rockingham Planning Commission, facilitating meetings of the advisory board, and interacting with 50 member companies while organizing and executing yearly commuter challenges.
