CommuteSmart NH

Since 2018, SRPC staff have partnered with program manager Central NH Regional Planning Commission on the statewide CommuteSmart NH (CSNH) initiative. CSNH is dedicated to encouraging and assisting people to choose sustainable transportation options and is a partnership between the state’s regional planning commissions, state agencies, and various non-profit transportation-oriented programs, working in collaboration with transit providers and businesses.

SRPC was originally involved in this initiative when CommuteSmart NH was awarded funding through New Hampshire Department of Transportation’s Community Technical Assistance Program (CTAP) and the New Hampshire Office of Strategic Initiatives in 2018. SRPC staff continue to play a key role in CSNH through assisting with the coordination and execution of statewide commuter challenges, providing graphic design support, and serving on subcommittees to strategize about how to best provide and support transportation demand management services and rideshare coordination across New Hampshire.
