Regional Childcare
Project Overview
SRPC has partnered with students from the NYU Wagner Graduate School of Public Service on a project aimed to help address regional childcare challenges that have impacted economic growth and development. As part of their Urban Planning Capstone project, students will be working alongside staff to conduct extensive research, collect data, engage in stakeholder outreach, brainstorm best practices, and provide resources that can help support our region and beyond. This project began in October 2024 and will culminate in the spring of 2025.
Outreach
December 10, 2024 – NYU’s team presented their progress to date to the Seacoast Economic Development Stakeholders. During the call, students also received valuable feedback from childcare and economic development stakeholders that will be used to help guide the project.
January 2025 – NYU students will begin stakeholder outreach to learn more from stakeholders across the region.
April 2025 – NYU students will present findings to the SRPC Commissioners
