In 2023, the Newmarket Planning Department began working with the Strafford Regional Planning Commission and a Master Plan Subcommittee to update the entire Master Plan.  When complete, the new Master Plan will include the following chapters: Vision; Housing; Land & Water Conservation; Arts, Culture and Historic Resources; Community Facilities and Utilities; Downtown Riverfront Design Plan; Economic Development; Energy; Recreation; Existing and Future Land Use; Transportation; and Implementation.

Along with static PDF plan chapters, the Master Plan also has an interactive app with built in maps and data.
