Draft 2025-2028 Transportation Improvement Program & 2025 – 2050 Metropolitan Transportation Plan
The Strafford Regional Planning Commission, functioning as the federally mandated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), is holding a public comment period and public hearing on the draft 2025 – 2028 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) and concurrent draft updates to the 2025 – 2050 Metropolitan Transportation Plan. The TIP is a prioritized list of federal and state funded transportation projects programmed for the Strafford region. Strafford Regional Planning Commission is conducting this process in accordance with Strafford MPO’s Public Involvement Procedures and federal and state regulations.
As of July 20th, 2013, all of New Hampshire is in unclassifiable/attainment for the 2008 8-Hour Ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standard, also known as the 2008 Ozone Standard; the 1997 8-Hour Ozone NAAQS (the 1997 ozone standard) is revoked for transportation conformity purposes in the Boston-Manchester-Portsmouth NH area.
A thirty-day public comment period for these documents begins on Thursday, February 20, 2025 and runs through Friday, March 21, 2025. A public hearing has been scheduled for Friday, March 21, 2025 at 9AM at a meeting of the Strafford RPC Commissioners. This meeting is being held in accordance with the Strafford MPO Public Participation Plan and state requirements. Interested parties can participate and submit comments at the hearing as follows:
