Public Comment Period for Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy

NOTICE OF PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD &  PUBLIC HEARING

Adoption of the 2024 Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy

The Strafford Regional Planning Commission (SRPC) in its role as an Economic Development District (EDD) is soliciting comments on adoption of the 2024 Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS). The CEDS contains an analysis of the region’s economy and identifies goals, strategies, and priority projects for implementation over the next five years. Adoption of a new CEDS requires public input as part of state and federal regulations. SRPC is soliciting comments for the draft CEDS from Monday, May 20, 2024 to Thursday, June 20, 2024. A public hearing will be held by the Strafford EDD Board of Directors at 9:00 am on Friday, June 21, 2024 to consider adoption of the 2024 CEDS.

Beginning Monday, May 20, 2024 copies of the proposed CEDS will be available for review at the Dover, Rochester, and Somersworth public libraries and city halls, as well as the Strafford Regional Planning Commission office and website: https://strafford.org/.
