On Thursday May 30, we hosted our Annual Meeting at the Governor’s Inn in Rochester. With over 45 attendees, the meeting was successful to say the least. Guest enjoyed hors d’oeuvres and sandwiches while participating in a visioning exercise, which was designed to allow guests the opportunity to view and comment on draft visions statements for our Regional Master Plan.  Multiple attendees also shared their vision for the Strafford Region in the form of recorded video responses that are currently being compiled.

Guests were also asked to join in an interactive polling activity, focused on the Regional Master Plan’s overall and plan appendix draft vision statements.  All were asked to review the statements either before or during the meeting, and submit a preference selection for the strongest statement in each category. Polling was accomplished via TurningPoint Technology clickers, which allowed users to select their top choice in each area, through a Powerpoint presentation module.

Highlights of the meeting included the use of the clicker technology and the presentation of the Annual Award, which this year, was given to the City of Somersworth for their excellence in city planning. Guests also enjoyed our speaker, Michael Provost, who gave a presentation on the NH Creative Economies Toolkit. Mr. Provost is the Executive Director of the Rochester Main Street Program and is an involved citizen in the Town of Newmarket.  The meeting ended with the unveiling of our new blog, which received a large amount of praise and positive feedback.

We would like to personally thank  all those in attendance and we look forward to seeing you again soon.
