Resiliency Subcommittee
The resiliency subcommittee is made up of SRPC commissioners. A few commissioners suggested that they would like to work more in-depth on thinking about how we can anticipate and plan for events and disasters as a region rather than just being reactive to them. The subcommittee meets monthly, and our first roundtable held in April 2021 was focused on Hazard Mitigation from Planning to Project Implementation.
The subcommittee gathers the concerns of our community stakeholders and their approaches to resiliency challenges to inform proactive regional adaptation planning. The subcommittee looks to bring attention to resiliency topics by coordinating subject matter expertise and SRPC member-community insights through timely public information and discussion sessions.
