Release of DRAFT Strafford Regional Broadband Plan
Strafford Regional Planning Commission is pleased to announce that they have released their DRAFT Regional Broadband Plan. This effort, an outcome of the NH Broadband Mapping and Planning Program, looks at the existing broadband infrastructure available in the region, as well as the current uses, needs, barriers and opportunities for Broadband.
Using a variety of research methodologies, we were able to put together a comprehensive planning document. The document will be used by our communities to get a picture of current and future needs for broadband infrastructure. This planning resource can be used to encourage implementation efforts in the region, state, and beyond. Examples of implementation in the Strafford Regional Broadband Plan include the support and facilitation of Public/Private Partnership driven downtown Wi-Fi Networks, the creation of a broadband information database, and the education of our communities through the promotion of webinars and trainings.
